Partnership for Transforming Health Systems (PATHS) is a £50 million health sector reform initiative funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID), which aims to work in partnership with national stakeholders and policy makers to strengthen health service delivery in Nigeria.
The purpose of PATHS is to improve the delivery and use of effective, replicable, affordable health services for the management of common health problems that affect poor people in Nigeria. PATHS works in partnership with Ministries and Departments of Health at Federal, State, and Local Government levels as well as with the private sector, civil society, and other development partners to improve health outcomes by enhancing the governance of the health sector. To date the programme has been implemented in Benue, Ekiti, Enugu, Jigawa, Kaduna, and Kano.
